I'm a 33-year-old (going on 34) male who's been lifting weights heavy and seriously for a good seven years. I really, really hate lifting weights. It's just something I force myself to do because I think I have to, like cleaning my apartment.
Furthermore, I have really terrible genetics for gaining muscle. I've tried every workout schedule in the book. I eat a ton of protein a day. I've done a lot of bulking and cutting and I rest a lot. I only seem to get fat when I bulk and burn muscle when I cut.
More importantly, I constantly injure myself while I lift. I'm terribly brittle, and as of this moment have two aching elbows, two aching shoulders, two aching knees and an aching back, all because of lifting.
I also injure myself every time I try to stretch. My joints can't take stretching whatsoever. So it's impossible for me to do yoga or any martial art when you need flexibility (I tried karate for 3 years, was stiffer than the complete beginners even after three years).
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
