I've seen several posts where various O/P's have mentioned, as a part of their question that the person they are asking about has some mental illness. I am wondering just how common these illnesses are? Are people willing to come forward and admit that they have had some connection to this issue? Do you think it's odd that these dis-orders have only been "labeled" in the past 20-30 yrs, did they exist prior, if not then why now? How do they affect relationships? Is it possible to have a relationship with someone who has a mental illness and actual have it last and be sucessful relationships and long-lasting? Are there really any long term sucess stories with person's with actual mental illness diagnosis? I had a person in my past with a severe diagnosis of bi-polar. I watched him over a 10 year span of time deteriorate from a Charming, funny, good-looking Charasmatic Man with a stunning career and great future ahead, to a violent, angry, drug addict, alcolohic, porn/sex addict who couldn't hold down a job, keep a place to live, etc. The last few years his behavior was so reckless we all watched in horror and fear just day by day saying he is ultimately going to get himself or someone else hurt really bad. One night in a Bi-Polar Manic episode, he was high and drunk, got on a motorcycle and went 160 mph (yes, 160 mph!) in a residential zone, came up on a curve and couldn't make the curve. He was killed instantly. His adolescent son is in my family and now suffers from this illness as well and the last several years for him has been a real nightmare. We are all just scared to death if this little boy has any chance at a future, really? So much wanting "real life examples" of any possible success stories? Yes, I understand that I am writing this in the Relationship section. I am wanting to know if this child has a future AS AN ADULT, IN AN ADULT WORLD, IN ADULT RELATIONSHIPS. I am not looking for a Psychiatrist jargon. I am wanting real world, real people honestly. Is there a chance for a normal life and normal relationships for people with mental illness? Thanks ! I didn't find the right solution from the internet. References: https://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingPosts13066606.aspx Cloud Storage Video Examples
